Fire Numbers Installation of new fire number signs will be completed shortly. There are some that were missed because of errors, etc. Please be patient. The Town Board appreciates your cooperation with WI Statute Sec 59.54(4) and 60.23(5).

Mistake in VandenBroek Fire & Rescue 2008 Year End Report Page 12 in our Annual Report—bottom paragraph. The Town of Kaukauna prior town board was not involved in any lawsuit.

Mid-Course /Mapping Meeting will be held on May 20th at 6:30 pm. Please join us, as this is arguably the most important meeting of the entire planning process and will aid in deciding the future of our community. You will participate in a mapping exercise and will provide direct input into the development of the Town of Kaukauna Future Land Use Map. Refreshments will be served.

Lawn Fertilization Fertilizers applied during spring and summer months contribute to algae bloom and eutrophication of lakes and streams. In northern climates, turf grass is only capable of ingesting fertilizer during the fall.

Town of Kaukauna Historical Society Another successful plant and rummage sale was held by the Historical Society. If you missed Arbor Day or the rummage sale you missed neighborly camaraderie and interesting historical facts about the Town of Kaukauna, as well as a tour of the old Town Hall/School. The Historical Society is looking for donations for a tree at the Town Hall in memory of a loved one in the town. Names will be placed on a plaque located near the tree. Donations will also be accepted by the Town Board in memory of a past Town Board member. Please contact Marion Van Zeeland at (920)766-2226 or email at hailmary@new.rr.com.

Road Projects This year Greiner road on the east of the frontage road from J to the north of I Bacall will be resurfaced. Other roads will, of course, be maintained as needed. Our goal is to keep the roads in good repair and resurface roads on an affordable timetable.

Town of Kaukauna Website was recently updated to include many helpful features. You will now find a calendar, permits, forms, agendas, minutes and zoning information, as well as a registration for e-mail updates. Should you wish to rent the town hall, you may view the calendar to see if your day is available, go to ‘Forms & Permits’ and download the ‘Rental Agreement’ form, print the form, fill it out and send it to the Town Clerk. Perhaps you want to know the minimum lot size required to build a residence in the town. Simply go to Town Hall Forum, click on Town of Kaukauna Ordinances and then on Town of Kaukauna Zoning Ordinance. Please feel free to continue to call us with any of these questions as well.

Roundabouts As per requests by residents, the Town of Kaukauna has acquired two (2) CDs on the use of roundabouts produced by the WI DOT. Please call to check out a copy.

Breakfast on the Farm will be held June 14 at the farm on the corner of Golden Glow Road and U. Please note that Golden Glow will be a one-way road west bound from CTY U to McCabe for that day.
