Business
If we need water from Freedom call Freedom Fire to ask if they can flow water from the quarry. If no other source is available then hook to a hydrant as a last resort. We do not need to have Freedoms permission to pull water from the hydrant. Ron and Marv checked with Freedom Fire on where they got their accountability board and found out they made it. Think that the board we liked may have been from Wrightstown, Ron will check with them.
Ron mentioned the on ramp to 41 N from 55 will be closed for construction until sometime in May. More road work will start on JJ and CC starting in May.
A letter was read warning of the hazards of a new type of suicide, it combines muriatic acid and Bonide which combine to form a lethal gas. Use caution when doing a scene size up and watch for unusual signs for these types of suicide calls.
Ron, Curt and Scott attended a class on new types of air bags. It is getting more difficult to find areas to cut cars to gain access to victims with all the new bags and sensors. There are generally more access points in the rear of new vehicles than there are in the front. It’s a good idea to pull off the headliner and b-pillar covers to see what is underneath before cutting. We are getting a DVD of the program to use for training at a later date.
Chief Ron read the fireman’s prayer.
Motion to adjourn was made by: John Vander Sanden and seconded by. Everyone
